Thou SHALT covet! (May 2010)

In the most recent issue of 'The Coveted Magazine', if you head on over to page 26 (using the link below) you'll find an interview with Joanne, founder of Kennedy Purple. They are a fabulously fashionable magazine and kindly (and hopefully correctly) say we are THE online destination for designer handbag hire! Aww - aren't they lovely?

There's a new blog in town (3rd June 2010)

...and we love it! We discovered The Style Rawr on Twitter and boy we're glad we did! Started recently by seasoned bloggers Tara and Jade, it's a haven for fashion, beauty and eye candy (bags and boys!)

Jade loves herself a bit of Angel Jackson...so we clearly have something in common. When she hired our Angel Jackson Violet Jaguar belt she had a blast of a week, and shared it all in a blushingly lovely endorsement of Kennedy Purple on The Style Rawr.

If you want to rent the belt as worn and blogged about by Jade, it will cost  just £10 (yes, £10) for a week...or if you want it for amonth you can have it for £35. Just like the Rawr...rent a bit of fashion roar! x

Loving the Louboutin! (3rd June 2010)

Not only did we take some of our gorgeous goodies to see Sex and the City on Friday, but one of our favourite bloggers did too!

We read lots of fashion-based blogs, and we love them. They're our not-so-guilty pleasure. So recently we asked the fabulous Amanda from Forty Not Out to take one of our girls to the cinema...and write all about it. Afterall, what's a viewing of Sex and the City without some arm candy that Carrie and the girls would be proud of?

Forty Not Out is a witty and wonderful blog that we discovered on Twitter. Amanda loves to see (and share) who's wearing what, when and where, as well as fill you with temptation as she keeps a close eye on what's new in the world of fashion. We can of course recommend you have a good look around her site and read what she's got to say about all sorts of things, but in particular we hope you will enjoy her article about her week with our dark red Christian Louboutin cyclope tote...including that all important cinema trip!

Louboutincyclopebag

The dark red Christian Louboutin cyclope tote would set you back £1245 to buy, but you can rent it here and now for just £40 for a week. Or grab it for a full month for £100. Go on - be a devil!

Who's the fairest of them all? (19th May 2010)

Blogs are a fantastic way to keep your eye on the latest trends and one of our favourite things about them is that they are written by individuals so you get to hear honest opinions on lots of lovely things...or not so lovely as the case may be! Luckily for us, Katie-Nan Coleman likes Kennedy Purple as much as we like her gorgeous blog. So much so, that she wrote a review on her recent rental of our Disney Couture 'Fairest of Them All' necklace, which you can read using the link below. xXx

REVIEW : Alexander McQueen purple Elvie (3rd May 2010)

Mcqueenpurpleelvie
It's one of our very favourite pieces at Kennedy Purple, and this week the rather fabulous Jen McGinley, presenter and DJ at West FM wrote a review of our Alexander McQueen Purple Elvie which she had the pleasure of hiring earlier this year.

See it today; hold it, wear it, work it tomorrow. Kennedy Purple's selection of bags, scarves and jewellery is incredible. How lucky can one girl be to have the choice of divine quilted Chanel for the working week then a Purple Alexander McQueen delight by the name of Elvie for the weekend? But don't be too green-eyed because she's happy to share them around.

In true 'Sex and the City' Jennifer Hudson styleey anything you see on the website www.kennedypurple.com can be yours to have and to hold for a week or a month. Arm candy; yes if you could afford to you'd buy your favourite bag for every season but this way you get to give it back and choose another ahead of the fashionistas. You get to look up-to-the-minute for a mere fraction of the designer price tag, and people think it's yours too.

I chose the exquisite Alexander McQueen Elvie in purple to cheer up my dreary February. She, the bag, arrived promptly and just as quickly she was on my arm. Talk about a focal point; she was adored, admired and stroked so much wherever we went I was almost jealous of her!

The Elvie parcel arrived with a friendly letter of how to use and look after her and an uber cute make-up bag for potentially messy handbag essentials.

I treated her well and she did the same for me. I even took pictures of our time together so precious it was. OK, so slightly over-dramatic bu there's no way I could add an Elvie to my collection every month. Thanks to Kennedy Purple I had the thrill of a new purchase and handed her back ready to shop again. There is one drawback however and that's the time I'll be deciding what to choose next. There's every colour, style and designer I can think of and more besides. The Lulu Guinness red Lips clutch is a real possibility, but then I catch sight of the Fendi gold B bag, you see my dilemma? And that's before I've opened the Jewellery Box section of the website or delved into the Accessories Closet!

A wedding, a ladies lunch or the Queen's garden party; whatever invite sits on your mantelpiece you're bound to have shelled out a small fortune on the outfit and you need a bag that looks that way too, well search no further than Kennedy Purple, job done.

Come birthdays and mummies days I'll be dropping hints for Kennedy Purple vouchers, the gift that keeps on giving.

www.kennedypurple.com is now firmly installed in my 'favourites', even if the bags do get more attention than me, it's worth it.

I ♥ Kennedy Purple. The future's most definitely purple!

The Alexander McQueen Elvie bag is also available to hire in black, gold and green. It would set you back over £1000 to buy, but you can hire one for a week for just £45, or just like Jen, take one for a month for £100

A little bit o' bloggery! (3rd May 2010)

As you may have gathered by now, we KP gals love our bags and our blogs! We also fully admit that we are addicted to Twitter, and one of the main reasons why is the fabulous folk you get to chat to on there. One such lovely lass is Lindsay Cowie, who recently rented our Steve Shein multi-coloured Argyle bangle and interviewed original Kennedy Purple girl, Joanne. She then wrote a rather lovely article about us on her own blog (which, by the by is a right good read in general!) You can read her KP article using the link below. Thank you Lindsay. xXx

The top ten at ten! (11th April 2010)

As a follow up to the recent article she wrote about hiring from KP, the lovely Andrea Jarman has written a post detailing the top ten current bags available to rent from Kennedy Purple (including the yellow Angel Jackson patent jaguar luxor tote as seen on Lady Gaga, pictured below) and what a gorgeous little lot they are!

THIS is some kind of fabulous! (9th April 2010)

We KP gals LOVE blogs, and so we were delighted when one of our favourite bloggers decided to write all about ut. The lovely Andrea Jarman recently had the pleasure of renting our purple Mulberry Roxanne bag, and she seemed to love it as much as we do!

Andrea runs and writes one of our favourite blogs - somekindoffabulous.co.uk If you don't know already, there are literally hundreds of blogs out there, but we've done the tough stuff for you, separated the wheat from the chaff and believe us when we tell you that this one is definitely one to check out - it rates high on the Kennedy Purple radar that's for sure! Her blog is the perfect combination of articles about fashion, celebrity, style (some of our favourite topics) and a whole lot more. It's a yummy mummy handbook, girl about town guide and fashionista's favourite. Recent articles have been about the death of 80's legend Corey Haim, the new cherry-themed range from Cath Kidston, the break-up of Sandra Bullock's marriage to naughty boy Jesse James, as well as plenty of pieces about fashion from how to steal the style of your favourite celebrity, to what the hottest picks from the sales are. As a woman who used to run her own handbag-based business, Andrea knows her totes from her clutches, and we can't sing her praises strongly enough. She's a lovely person with bags of style. That sounds like a Kennedy Purple girl to us!

Hangups and Handbags (28th January 2010)

We do so love a bit of bloggage at Kennedy Purple, and few do it better than the fabulously named 'Cupcake' and 'Marigold' who run the website : hangupsandhandbags.com

This week, they did Kennedy Purple the honour of interviewing Joanne (owner of KP, and pictured below) and writing a post about us which you can read for yourself using the link below. We can also highly recommend you have a good read and look around the rest of their website as it is full of lots of lovely fun stuff, and who wouldn't want some of that?
