It's one of our very favourite pieces at Kennedy Purple, and this week the rather fabulous Jen McGinley, presenter and DJ at West FM wrote a review of our Alexander McQueen Purple Elvie which she had the pleasure of hiring earlier this year.
See it today; hold it, wear it, work it tomorrow. Kennedy Purple's selection of bags, scarves and jewellery is incredible. How lucky can one girl be to have the choice of divine quilted Chanel for the working week then a Purple Alexander McQueen delight by the name of Elvie for the weekend? But don't be too green-eyed because she's happy to share them around.
In true 'Sex and the City' Jennifer Hudson styleey anything you see on the website www.kennedypurple.com can be yours to have and to hold for a week or a month. Arm candy; yes if you could afford to you'd buy your favourite bag for every season but this way you get to give it back and choose another ahead of the fashionistas. You get to look up-to-the-minute for a mere fraction of the designer price tag, and people think it's yours too.
I chose the exquisite Alexander McQueen Elvie in purple to cheer up my dreary February. She, the bag, arrived promptly and just as quickly she was on my arm. Talk about a focal point; she was adored, admired and stroked so much wherever we went I was almost jealous of her!
The Elvie parcel arrived with a friendly letter of how to use and look after her and an uber cute make-up bag for potentially messy handbag essentials.
I treated her well and she did the same for me. I even took pictures of our time together so precious it was. OK, so slightly over-dramatic bu there's no way I could add an Elvie to my collection every month. Thanks to Kennedy Purple I had the thrill of a new purchase and handed her back ready to shop again. There is one drawback however and that's the time I'll be deciding what to choose next. There's every colour, style and designer I can think of and more besides. The Lulu Guinness red Lips clutch is a real possibility, but then I catch sight of the Fendi gold B bag, you see my dilemma? And that's before I've opened the Jewellery Box section of the website or delved into the Accessories Closet!
A wedding, a ladies lunch or the Queen's garden party; whatever invite sits on your mantelpiece you're bound to have shelled out a small fortune on the outfit and you need a bag that looks that way too, well search no further than Kennedy Purple, job done.
Come birthdays and mummies days I'll be dropping hints for Kennedy Purple vouchers, the gift that keeps on giving.
www.kennedypurple.com is now firmly installed in my 'favourites', even if the bags do get more attention than me, it's worth it.
I ♥ Kennedy Purple. The future's most definitely purple!

The Alexander McQueen Elvie bag is also available to hire in black, gold and green. It would set you back over £1000 to buy, but you can hire one for a week for just £45, or just like Jen, take one for a month for £100
